Edinburgh castle

Edinburgh castle is one of the most iconic tourist attractions within the UK. It is the stage for the tattoo, but maybe you want to visit to see the inside of the castle - both to find out about the site history, as well as to enjoy the stunning views across Edinburgh and beyond. Please note that audio guides can be hired for a supplement direct at the castle.

 

 

Palace of Holyroodhouse

Admission: £15.00

Hours: 9.30am - 6pm (last admission at 4.30pm)

Founded as a monastery in 1128, Holyroodhouse Palace is one of the most remarkable Scottish castles and the Queen’s official residence in Scotland. A “not to miss” attraction for all history lovers, Holyroodhouse Palace has been a residence of the well-known Mary I or Mary Queen of Scots for more than 20 years and a stage for many dramatic episodes during her turbulent reign.  The visit to Holyroodhouse includes Mary, Queen of Scots' Chambers,  including Mary's Bedchamber known as the ‘most famous room in Scotland’, and the Darnley Rooms. Royal Britannia

Create a very special evening by dining at the Galvin Brasserie de luxe before you enjoy your Tattoo visit. Attached to the 5 star Waldorf Astoria Caledonian Hotel, the spacious Brasserie is the second restaurant from Michelin-starred chef brothers Chris and Jeff Galvin and offers a slice of Paris in the heart of Edinburgh.

Dinner is 3 courses with a choice menu and includes a small glass of wine, with the meal being followed by tea or coffee.

Vouchers will be issued to take you to the front of the queue for admission to each of your requested tours.

We will book Tours & Activities subject to our view as to how the timings will fit in with the rest of your day itinerary. We recommend a maximum of three activities per day. It is your responsibility to ensure that you are on time at each attraction in order to ensure prompt access and an efficient provision of service. The times can be changed if you wish, but it is dependent on availability so you should make such requests as soon as possible.
